This Fleet Maintenance Tech position provides daily preventative and corrective maintenance on our fleet of transports and assets. This position is primarily responsible for leading the maintenance and repair of our crudeoil light products transport fleets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain safe and compliant equipment in accordance with DOT and FMCSA regulations

Maintain and submit regulatory documentation for accurate record keeping

Perform routine maintenance based on a given maintenance interval (oil changes, brake repairs, electrical repairs, suspension, and drivetrain repairs)

Perform and/or coordinate emergency roadside repairs

Maintain appropriate housekeeping in the service center and mobile service truck

Proficient with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software), tracking all labor and material costs to the appropriate assets

Participate in an on-call rotation and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • GED or High School Diploma

  • Driving record with no infractions

  • 6-month fleet maintenance experience preferred

Diesel Technician I

  • 0-2 year of fleet maintenance experience or equivalent preferred

  • Driving record with no infractions with CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL

  • Develops competence by performing structured work assignments

  • Uses existing procedures/guidelines to solve standard problems

Diesel Technician II

Skills of all Tech level prior to Tech I plus

  • 2-3 years of fleet maintenance experience or a combination of ASE/regulatory compliance technical certifications and experience; at least 1-year of experience in role with the company preferred

  • Performs a range of moderately complex assignments; developing ability to do more complex work

  • Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures

  • Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction
