Diesel Mechanic Benefits include: $3,000 Sign-on Bonus Additional hourly compensation for Class A CDL Holders Annual steel boots program Uniforms provided Tuition Reimbursement (restrictions apply) Great Work-Life Balance Job Summary Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of company equipment, including preventative maintenance and repairs ranging from minor to major on Class 8 tractors and trailers. Essential Duties Conduct maintenance, preventative maintenance, on company equipment at a remote, onsite facility. Troubleshoot, diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical and hydraulic malfunctions Perform Preventable Maintenance (P.M) inspections to ensure DOT requirements are met Complete required documentation for vehicle repairs and parts usage Performs other tasks/projects as instructed by the Director and VP of Fleet Maintenance Ensure compliance within the safety rules and regulations Perform all duties outside in various weather conditions Perform other duties as assigned by management Great Work-Life Balance Requirements Valid Driver's license (CDL not required) Must be able to pass background check Must have a Toolbox Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred. ASE certification preferred Diesel Minimum of 1 year of Technician experience with Class 8 Tractor & Trailer (no exceptions) New and Recent Diesel Mechanics are welcome. Must have graduated from an Accredited Diesel Mechanic program, or equivalent experience. Physical Requirements: Ability to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds. Ability to move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to inspect and or wash vehicles.
