Earn Up To $40 Per Hour (Dependent Upon Experience) - Full Benefits

Summary:

The primary duties of a gas/diesel technician/mechanic include performing diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to find faults, analyzing diagnostic test results, and repairing or replacing engine, steering, transmission, braking, or lighting system components.

​Responsibilities:

  • Accurately document work performed on repair orders.
  • Operate various manufacturer computer programs to run diagnostic tests.
  • Repair and maintain all components in light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks.
  • Reconditions and replaces truck parts and components using, hand tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform annual state and federal safety inspections: checking safety equipment, including the glass, horn, brakes, tire tread, and exterior lights.
  • Perform emissions inspections/measure carbon emissions.
  • Stay current on state and federal regulations and emissions codes.
  • Diagnostics and repair of air and hydraulic brake systems, steering and suspension systems, electrical systems, heating and air conditioning systems, and engine mechanical repairs.

Requirements:

  • Must Have At Least 2 Years of Previous Experience As A Diesel Mechanic/Technician​
  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks.
  • Experience performing PM-related services.
  • Must have a valid driver's license: CDL Preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs/push-pull 75lbs.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to understand & effectively communicate in English
  • Certifications on either Isuzu or Hino products are a plus.
  • ASE certification preferred.
  • CDL certification preferred. (We will train)
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening required by DOT.
