We are currently seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Decatur, Alabama. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of heavy-duty vehicles.**Job Description:**As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. Your expertise will help ensure smooth operation and safely.**Responsibilities:**- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles.- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance.- Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems.- Test vehicle systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning.- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.**Requirements:**- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in diesel mechanics preferred.- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with heavy-duty vehicles.- Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.**Preferred Qualifications:**- ASE certification in diesel mechanics.- Experience with various types of heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks, buses, and construction equipment.- Knowledge of computerized diagnostic tools and software.**How to Apply:**Please apply on our website for immediate consideration at MUST be able to pass a background check and drug screening.United Trades of America is an equal opportunity employer, and we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds.
