Job DescriptionWe are seeking a qualified Diesel Tech Instructor for a full-time position. As a Diesel Tech Instructor, you will play a crucial role in creating, delivering, and supporting training courses for all departments within the company.
- Curriculum is already set.
- 4 Bay academy includes all tools and electrical boards.
- Some travel required to career fairs
- Seeking experienced professional with 5+ years of teaching.
- Qualified candidates will meet the service manager and spend a couple of days on site to become familiar with the facility, owner and director of service.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct training sessions covering specified areas in the established curriculum.
- Deliver training specific to Peterbilt qualifications and training requirements.
- Coordinate career and job fairs in collaboration with the Recruitment and Retention Specialist.
- Engage with high school and college counselors to actively recruit students.
- Develop and continually improve learning opportunities across the organization, ensuring the maximum effectiveness of Company efforts and processes.
- Determine and arrange all training needed to provide consistently high-quality employees.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects.
- Experience in designing technical course content.
- Must have a valid driver's license and meet insurability requirements with the Company's insurance provider.
- Associates Degree in Truck and Diesel Technology.
- Three to five years of proven experience in a teaching position.
- Intermediate experience in Word and Excel.
