Job Description:
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a qualified Diesel Tech Instructor for a full-time position. As a Diesel Tech Instructor, you will play a crucial role in creating, delivering, and supporting training courses for all departments within the company.
  • Curriculum is already set.
  • 4 Bay academy includes all tools and electrical boards.
  • Some travel required to career fairs
  • Seeking experienced professional with 5+ years of teaching.
  • Qualified candidates will meet the service manager and spend a couple of days on site to become familiar with the facility, owner and director of service.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct training sessions covering specified areas in the established curriculum.
  • Deliver training specific to Peterbilt qualifications and training requirements.
  • Coordinate career and job fairs in collaboration with the Recruitment and Retention Specialist.
  • Engage with high school and college counselors to actively recruit students.
  • Develop and continually improve learning opportunities across the organization, ensuring the maximum effectiveness of Company efforts and processes.
  • Determine and arrange all training needed to provide consistently high-quality employees.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects.
  • Experience in designing technical course content.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and meet insurability requirements with the Company's insurance provider.
  • Associates Degree in Truck and Diesel Technology.
  • Three to five years of proven experience in a teaching position.
  • Intermediate experience in Word and Excel.
