- Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred. Other combinations of experience and
- Education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
- Five to seven years of experience or more preferred
- Minimum 4 years management experience
- Proven experience as a Shop Supervisor or similar role in the diesel mechanic field.
- Experience in TMT, PeopleNet and LYTX preferred.
- Strong knowledge of diesel technology.
- Class A License preferred.
- Knowledge of 406 fuel tankers preferred .
- Proficient in mechanical analysis/software.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of budgeting and cost control principles.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of DOT laws/regulations.
- Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the shop operations.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize daily tasks to ensure the timely completion of projects and orders.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Uphold and enforce safety protocols and regulations within the workshop.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control standards are met.
- Act as a liaison between the shop and upper management, relaying information about production
- Status, challenges, and resource needs.
- Collaborate with operations management to develop project plans
Fleet Diesel Technician
Circle K is looking for a Vehicle Mechanic to work in our fuel transportation shop in Tampa, FL Candidates for this job must have a strong eye for detail, provide quick and strategic solutions, and adapt to sudden changes. We are looking for fast paced, self-motivated team players who have a positive attitude and extreme determination as we continue to build out our Fleet Transportation network.

- $55,000-$75,000 depending on experience

- Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary vocational education strongly preferred.
- Must have minimum tool requirement.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Valid CDL (license A) is highly desired.
- Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.
- Successfully pass all screening criteria
- Responsibilities:
- Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
- Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
- Performs preventative maintenance.
- Diagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic tools when applicable.
- Identifies root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required.
- Replaces defective components as instructed.
- Performs facility maintenance duties.
- Interacts with operators/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task.
- Utilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available.
