  • Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines with a focus on service quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Minimize downtime by ensuring equipment is available and operational in a timely manner.
  • Maintain rigorous safety and performance standards in all shop operations.
  • Contribute to the service department's reputation by embracing new challenges and seeking ways to add value.
Reporting Structure:This role reports directly to the Shop Supervisor and collaborates with management across various business divisions.Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of mechanics, including brakes, drivetrain, A/C, cooling systems, electrical components, electronics (ECM, Body Controls), steering, suspension, diesel components, fuel systems, exhaust systems, and welding.
  • Familiarity with diesel engine repair, maintenance, and OSHA regulations.
  • Skilled in component exchanges and repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operating instructions, and manuals.
  • Expertise in truck equipment, including transmissions, engines, fuel systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Strong sense of urgency, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in operating vehicles and diagnostic equipment.
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Must own your own tools.
  • 2-3 years of prior experience required.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as standing, stooping, crawling, bending, reaching, and climbing.
  • Basic computer skills; welding experience is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain service-related documents.
  • Valid driver's license required.
