The dietary aide will work with the dietary team to ensure that the nutritional needs of residents are met, and to provide an enjoyable dining experience for all.Key Responsibilities:Assist with meal preparation, including cooking, baking, and chopping vegetablesSet up and clean dining areas and tables for meal timesAssist with the delivery and serving of meals to residentsFollow food safety guidelines and ensure that all food served meets dietary restrictions and preferences of residentsClean kitchen equipment, counters, and floors to maintain a clean and safe work environmentAssist with inventory and stocking of food and suppliesHandle resident inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous mannerAdhere to all policies and procedures related to food service and safetyAttend training sessions and meetings as requiredQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not requiredPrevious experience in food service preferred, but not requiredMust have strong communication and customer service skillsMust be able to follow directions and work as part of a teamAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidaysMust be able to pass a background check and drug testWorking Conditions:The Dietary Aide will work in a skilled nursing facility kitchen, which may be hot and noisy. The job requires standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 50 pounds. The dietary aide will work with kitchen equipment and tools, including knives and food processors, which require proper safety precautions.
