Job Description:

*Job Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety within the kitchen environment.*Duties** Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established dietary guidelines.* Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.* Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.* Help with the organization of food production and storage areas.* Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with residents during meal times.* Support the dietary team in menu planning and special dietary requests as needed.* Participate in training sessions related to dietetics and food service best practices.*GENERAL REQUIREMENTS** Supports mission, vision, values, ethics, and goals of Heritage of Webster County.* Pledges sincere commitment to quality care and a quest for excellence.* Maintains confidentiality for the people we serve and to fellow employees by following HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules at all times.* Possesses ability to come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrates professionalism, dependability, and organization.* Adheres to the team approach and works well with fellow employees.* Maintains accountability and responsibility for job performance and seeks ways to improve.* Demonstrates punctuality and efficient use of time.* Shows respect, politeness, consideration, and sympathy to residents, visitors, and fellow employees.* Demonstrates good public relations by expressing to the public and fellow employees the desire for continuous quality improvement.* Maintains a professional appearance of self and work area.* Attends interdepartmental meetings and other meetings as position requires.* Attends educational events that are required or would be beneficial to the wellbeing of the department and/or nursing home.* Performs other duties as assigned.* Utilizes proper body mechanics, transfer/lifting techniques and appropriate equipment to minimize injury to self.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.*EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE** Previous dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred.*CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION*N/AJob Type: Full-timePay: From $13.70 per hourExpected hours: No less than 36 per weekBenefits:* 401(k) matching* AD&D insurance* Employee discount* Flexible spending account* Tuition reimbursementAbility to Relocate:* Red Cloud, NE 68970: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
