Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and passionate Dietary Aide to join the team at our client's nursing facility. The Dietary Aide will play a crucial role in assisting with meal preparation, serving, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with meal preparation and serving in accordance with established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure that all meals are served with attention to taste, presentation, and dietary requirements.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to support the preparation and delivery of meals that meet the nutritional needs of our residents.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Monitor and record food temperatures and assist with safe food handling practices.
• Assist with food inventory management, including stocking and restocking supplies as needed.
• Accommodate special dietary needs and preferences as directed by dietary staff.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
• Uphold the highest standards of food quality and safety.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and maintain compliance with state and local health department requirements.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a Dietary Aide or similar role in a healthcare or senior living setting is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices and dietary guidelines is a plus.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and assist with meal service tasks.
