Dietary Aide
The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting in the preparation and delivery of meals to patients, residents, and guests within a healthcare or nursing facility. This position will collaborate with the dietary staff in planning, cooking, and serving meals, ensure appropriate food handling, storage, and retrieval procedures are followed, and maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment.
Dietary Aide Responsibilities:
· Assist in the serving of meals and beverages to residents, patients, and guests.
· Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following proper sanitation and safety guidelines.
· Assist in the delivery and retrieval of food carts, plates, and utensils.
· Monitor and report food inventory levels and supplies to the Head Cook or Director
· Attend and participate in regular training and education on dietary requirements and changes.
Dietary Aide Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Previous food service experience preferred.
· Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
· Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and retrieval procedures
· Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
· Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
