Dietary AideStarting Rate: $15.60/hr. ($15.60 - $17.23 per hour, dependent upon experience)Shift: Part-Time (7am-3pm), (5pm-830pm) 2days a week, every other weekendBENEFITS:* Weekly Paychecks* Health, Dental, Life Insurance* Referral Bonus* Retirement/401kJOB DESCRIPTION:Provides andmaintains a high standard of food service, sanitary and safety condition for patients, residents, visitors and employees as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.RESPONSIBILITIES:* Serves meals that are timely, palatable, and appetizing in appearance and are in accordance with established portion control procedures and therapeutic diets.* Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures to include but not limited to work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, sweep/mop floors as directed, carry soiled utensils/dishes to work areas, wash and clean utensils as directed, empty trash containers into dumpsters, clean cans and replace trash can liners* Keeps work area dry and free of hazards and sanitizes dining room table and chairs* Operates dish machine using proper sanitizing and safety techniques. Racks, rinses and feeds dishes into dish machine* Washes pots and pans as per facility policies and procedures* Places groceries, meats and supply items in appropriate storage areas as directed* Transfers food trucks from dietary department to assigned areas in a safe and timely manner.* Utilizes and maintains all equipment appropriately, i.e.: dish machine, coffee urn, refrigerators, mixers, blender, and toaster.* Prepares and portions food items such as desserts, salads, juices, coffee, and nourishments* Assists in inventory and proper storing of foods, supplies, etc. as directed* Provides cleaning and busing of tables in dining rooms as instructed, in a courteous manner.* Makes efforts to ensure that residents' needs and preferences are accommodated, i.e.: alternate menus offered, special request nourishments/snacks provided upon request, etc.* Follows all safety regulations, food safety regulations and facilities policies and procedures* Reports all hazardous conditions/equipment and accidents/incidents to shift supervisor* Accurately take and record temperatures of food, beverages and equipment as directed by the Food Service Director, Assistant Food Service Director and/or Dietary Supervisor every meal* Demonstrates knowledge of and implements Universal Precautions and all Infection Control protocol* Washes hand between resident contacts as appropriate* Handle linen and disposes of waste properly* Demonstrates ability to care for residents in isolation precautions* Ability to work independently, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude* Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner* Knowledge of environmental services* Ability to understand and follow routine oral and written instructions* Excellent time management skills* Flexibility with work schedule including ability to work evenings and weekends as required.* Ability to work independently as well as in conjunction with other staff members and members of the team.ABOUT US:Absolut Care is part of the Living Legends Portfolio which includes The McGuire Group, Taconic Health Care and VestraCare.
