Position SummaryThe primary purpose of your job position is to prepare and serve food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Director of Food Services, to assure quality food service is provided at all times.Essential Functions and Responsibilities•Ensure the CAPLICO Core Values and Code of Conduct are adhered to at all times.•Ensure compliance with Resident Rights policy at all times. •Ensure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.•Assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of Dietary Aide.•Assist Dietary Cook with preparing meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.•Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis in accordance with established portion control procedures.•Report any perceived change in a resident's daily eating habits or eating routine to the Wellness department.•Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations and established policies and procedures.•Follow established Infection Control and Universal Precautions policies and procedures when performing daily tasks.•Perform daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures, including but not limited to: cleaning work tables, meat blocks, kitchen equipment, refrigerators/freezers, storerooms, sweep and mop floors, wash, clean and store utensils as directed.•Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times.•Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies.•Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining room as instructed.•Distribute and collect menus as necessary.•Assist in checking diet trays before distribution.•Deliver food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas.•Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures. •Remove food trays from carts, dining rooms, etc., and take to dishwashing area.•Prepare and deliver snacks, etc., as needed. •Ensure that food and supplies for the next meal are readily available.•Assist in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc., as necessary. •Attend and participate in mandatory training, inservices, and staff meetings.•Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Supervisor.The employer for this position is stated in the job posting.
