About the role: The Dietary and Housekeeping Aide is responsible for the daily preparation and service of client meals and will work collaboratively with the Ancillary Service Lead to assure the facility is maintained in good repair at all times. The Dietary and Housekeeping Aide must be flexible in their duties as they will work daily to ensure patient rooms and the facility common areas remain clean and clutter-free and may also assist with additional facility duties such as cleaning and buffing floors, outside snow removal, etc. as needed. This position must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; 1-2 years' experience cooking in an institutional food service setting such as a hospital or nursing home preferred.
- Ability to complete requirements to obtain Food Handlers Permit.
- Ability to read, write, and follow recipes and menus. Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence related to dietary or facility's needs.
- Ability to calculate amounts as associated with adjusting recipes, measurements, proportions, percentages, volume, etc.
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Possesses problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge and ability to operate mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, carpet shampooers, carts, heat machine compactors, dollies, ladders, snow removal and related equipment.
- Knowledge of various cleaning agents and/or chemicals.
- Is cooperative and flexible in fulfilling role expectations.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working order, that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements, with personal auto liability insurance in compliance with the state insurance laws governing liability, property damage, and bodily injury.
- Team members will be expected to comply with Bluegrass Care Navigators (BCN) Employee Health, infectious disease, and vaccination policies.
Salary Description $16.71-$20.05 per hour
