Job Type Full-time Description Job Summary:

  • Performs most patient menu manipulations within the department. Assists the cook with cold food production. Completes routine record keeping. Delivers and retrieves patient trays as required.
  • Performs menu and diet procedures to insure patients receive appropriate foods at meal times.
  • Conducts food production tallies for all three meals.
  • Assembles patient trays, with the cook, for delivery.
  • Assembles and delivers nourishments for patients.
  • Completes routine records and stats for the dietary department's PI and Accountability reports.
  • Assists with cold food production for patients and cafeteria patrons.
  • Fills requisitions for patient pantry stock as requested.
  • Assists with service and short-order work for the cafeteria. Cashiering as required
  • Sets up for special function as needed.
  • Answers and directs phone calls to the department.
  • Cleans and sanitizes all work areas when used or as assigned.
  • Occasionally works special functions as assigned.

Requirements Experience:
  • 6 months commercial cooking experience required.
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certification/Skills:
  • Serve Safe certification preferred
