Job Description
Seeking motivated and dependable individual to supervise the kitchen staff at an assisted living facility. Must plan weekly menus, prepare food for special events, cook food for residents, develop and implement policies and procedures, coordinate and assign work to staff, and prepare work schedules for the food staff. Responsibility includes ordering food for the facility, estimating food consumption, sanitary food preparation and storage and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.Carry out other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Educational Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED with reading, comprehension and writing ability at 12th grade level or higher.
Position Requirements:
Work in accordance with state regulations and OSHA guidelines, fire and safety procedures and food handling/kitchen requirements.Adhere to/carry out all policies and procedures.Establish/maintain constructive working relationships w/coworkers, residents, families and visitors.Promote teamwork in providing services to residents. Able to read, write and speak the English language.Must be able to lift 30 pounds.Will need to be 18 years of age or older and of good moral and responsible character and reputation. Annual Tuberculin Test. Able to pass drug test and background check.
Job Specific Details:
* 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
* Commercial cooking experience preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
* Proof of COVID Vaccination is required to be eligible for this position.
