Summary:
+ Under the direction of Clinical Nutrition Manager assures that patient care standards are met and patient satisfaction is maintained. The RD, LDN serves as a liaison between the medical staff, nursing staff, ancillary health departments and the community.
Responsibilities:
+ Screening of patients based on information from Admission Data Base for Nursing Trigger and Diet Report for Admitting Diagnosis, LOS status, NPO status, Clear Liquid status, Nutrition Consults from MD / RN / work flows, and 2kg or less birth weight
+ Providing appropriate PN/EN recommendations for Adult, PEDS and/or NICU patients.
+ Completes assessments, monitoring MNT notes according to CCH Nutrition Services Standards of Care.
+ Provides education as indicated, based on patients medical status/ history and or by consult.
+ Medical Nutrition Therapy documentation in Soarian using the American Dietetic Association PES statement format.
+ Monitor and advises Food Service Team on patient care and food service issues.
+ Participates in Peer Review process on monthly bases
+ Provides systematic training, modeling, mentoring and analysis of clinical practice to prepare Dietetic Interns for Registration.
Credentials:
+ Lcnsd Dietician-Nutritionist (Required)
+ Registered Dietitian (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
+ Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
+ Education Specialization:With completion of American Dietetic Association approved Dietetic InternshipEquivalent Experience:
+ Master of Arts or Science
+ Education Specialization:Equivalent Experience:-And 1+ years Clinical acute care hospital experience
