Come discover all that Ithaca, New York and Cayuga Health has to offer!Position Overview: The Dietitian performs nutritional assessments on patients and works with medical team to prescribe and monitor care plans for nutritional needs.What you'll do:
- Serve as a department representative as part of the hospital clinical team
- Adherence to all local, state and federal safety and sanitation codes
- Menu development and implementation
- Work directly with patients to explain diets/supplements in response to diagnosis
- Provide recommendations for enteral and parenteral nutrition support
- Assess patients for malnutrition and develop nutrition interventions and care plans to address identified nutrition diagnoses
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) using food service management software
- Offer inpatient nutritional counseling
- Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities, not noted above.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently licensed as a Registered Dietitian
- Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- 1 year of experience in an acute care setting
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting of 50 #. Standing for long periods of time. Working in an environment that includes a wide range of temperatures including production areas and walk-in coolers/freezers.
Travel Requirements:
- Onsite - Cayuga Medical Center - 101 Dates Drive Ithaca NY 14850
- Shift - Days - As Scheduled

- $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
