Position Overview:
The Dietitian performs nutritional assessments on patients and works with medical team to prescribe and monitor care plans for nutritional needs.
What you'll do:
* Serve as a department representative as part of the hospital clinical team
* Adherence to all local, state and federal safety and sanitation codes
* Menu development and implementation
* Work directly with patients to explain diets/supplements in response to diagnosis
* Provide recommendations for enteral and parenteral nutrition support
* Assess patients for malnutrition and develop nutrition interventions and care plans to address identified nutrition diagnoses
* Subject Matter Expert (SME) using food service management software
* Offer inpatient nutritional counseling
* Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities, not noted above.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Currently licensed as a Registered Dietitian
* Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's Degree
* 1 year of experience in an acute care setting
Physical Requirements:
* Lifting of 50 #. Standing for long periods of time. Working in an environment that includes a wide range of temperatures including production areas and walk-in coolers/freezers.
Travel Requirements:
* Onsite - Cayuga Medical Center - 101 Dates Drive Ithaca NY 14850
* Shift - Days - As Scheduled
Pay Range Disclosure
* $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
