Summary Job Summary Provides clinical expertise and care related to nutritional support in an outpatient setting. Job Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates educational programs for patients concerning nutrition.
- Offers general health management for nutrition patients and groups. Distributes education literature to patients.
- Responsible for community programming and education.
- Oversees the weight management program for adults.
- Coordinates and helps to facilitate children's weight management program.
- Conducts presentations to groups of all sizes regarding nutrition education/cooking classes.
- Provides education and training for patients and healthcare providers on the theories, principles, and practices of specialized nutritional support.
- Participates in and generates research and outcomes studies relating to specialized nutritional support.
- Represents Healthpark in community as nutrition expert.
- Writes articles for local newspapers, speaks to groups, and regularly speaks with media on topics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Service Management required upon hire OR
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nutrition required upon hire OR
- Bachelor's degree or higher in related field required upon hire
- A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- No experience required
- Dietitian - Licensed Dietitian in the state of Kentucky required within 120 days of employment in this position AND
- BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position
