We are looking for a new team member to join the global communications team and help tell FINCA's story and grow our reputation as a thought leader in the inclusive finance and impact investing spaces.

About the Role

You are a creative thinker and self-driven professional who likes to figure things out and test new solutions. You understand how to convey key messages to a range of stakeholder audiences and how to create enticing materials that will draw people to FINCA's work. You are a social media maven with proven experience growing an organization's presence and brand on social media channels and are comfortable writing and curating content. You have a keen eye for graphic design and know how to create a visual identity for a brand, event, or campaign. You are a fast-learner and able to problem solve quickly and on the spot. You have experience working with executive leadership and writing and speaking in a professional voice and tone. You have experience managing team members and projects.

Responsibilities:

Social Media and Outreach Strategy

  • Oversee FINCA International's social media strategy and voice. Curate, create, and manage content and posting schedule for all FI's social media channels — Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter (and any potential new platforms) — with the goal to extend FINCA's reach and position FINCA as a thought leader in the inclusive finance and impact investing spaces.
  • Manage the President CEO's social media strategy and voice, in close coordination with the CEO and Director, Strategic Engagement and Communications. Assess and explore new social media platforms that could be of value to FINCA.
  • Develop all external media kits for FINCA thought leadership pieces or event campaigns.
  • Monitor engagement results and adjust social media strategy accordingly to grow FINCA's visibility and competitive positioning among similar organizations on social channels.

Visual and Brand Identity

  • Create digital graphics for FINCA's website, social channels, events, publications, and speaking engagements.
  • Lead on the production of in-house videos for telling FINCA's story through various media types.
  • Provide design support for all internal and external presentations.
  • Administer the FINCA Global Brand Center, a digital asset management tool.
  • Oversee visual brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all communications materials.

Publishing and Administration of Content

  • Lead on laying out all new content that is posted to FINCA's newsroom on the website and help identify and test enhancements and bug fixes in coordination with FINCA's communications and marketing teams.
  • Coordinate the production of FINCA's fact sheets and other key communications collateral for a range of audiences.
  • Support with production of digital newsletters to ensure content and visual identity is in alignment with FINCA's brand.

Project, Event and People Management

  • Support the Director, Strategic Engagement and Communications with organizing FINCA-hosted in-person and virtual meetings and events. Responsibilities include marketing promotions, speaker coordination, registration, and basic IT support.
  • Lead on designing and organizing collateral for virtual and in-person events.
  • Manage projects, from ideation to completion, related to communications and external events. Provide oversight and guidance to other team members as required, to ensure alignment with departmental goals, organizational priorities and delivery of quality content/outcomes.

Communications Reporting

  • Oversee FINCA's communications and engagement reporting, including oversight of the development of management dashboards of social media and website analytics and KPIs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience managing and growing social media accounts on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to write and publish content without requiring significant review or editing.
  • Ability to produce engaging and creative content, utilizing infographics and short- and long-form video.
  • Experience in communications or brand marketing.
  • Knowledge of Sprout Social or other social media management tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Adobe Suite or comparable programs, WordPress CMS, graphics design, or video editing.
  • 100% fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second language is also a plus.
  • Awareness of the inclusive finance sector is preferred.

Travel Requirements: Availability to travel domestically or internationally and on weekends if needed.

Physical Demands: Ability to travel in economy class when traveling by air or rail.
