Digital Communications Specialist - SIS Location: George Peabody HallTime Type: Full timePosted On: Posted YesterdayJob Requisition ID: R00100470Job Summary:The individual in this position will grow the online presence of the School of Information Studies; effectively promote the School and its students, alumni, faculty, and staff; and improve engagement with stakeholders. Responsibilities will be in the areas of social media and digital marketing; website content and management; compiling and creating reports and publications; creating video content; and event planning and management.Job Responsibilities:Social Media and Digital Marketing Strategist (25%): Creates media materials (written, audio, video) and executes the social media and digital marketing strategy through content creation, planning, and scheduling; utilizes all digital platforms to grow the school's online presence; stays current on trends; tests new strategies and platforms; and uses social media analytics to assess engagement strategies and generate quarterly reports.Website Content and Management (25%): Creates, maintains, and updates content on the college website; implements updates to improve usability, performance, and appearance; maintains website content; and incorporates search engine optimization and analytics.Compiling and Creating Reports and Publications (25%): Responsible for gathering data and generating reports; manages the school's annual magazine.Video Content (10%): Generates video ideas and coordinates production of video material for the website and social media channels.Event Planning and Management (10%): Oversees and organizes events as directed; secures venues, arranges catering, issues announcements, and provides on-site supervision.Other (5%): Perform other duties/special projects as assigned by Director.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree; can be substituted by relevant work experience.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in related field; 2-3 Years of Experience; experience with digital marketing strategies and video content generation.Special Instructions: Please provide a resume/CV, cover letter, and three professional references.
