Responsibilities
This position is located in Santa Rosa, California, in the heart of California's beautiful wine country. This is the location of Keysight headquarters. You'll be part of a team that designs, develops, and tests new products. To create a complete solution for our customers, your project team will include engineers from diverse areas of expertise: electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, software engineers, process engineers and manufacturing engineers.
Your primary job responsibilities will include developing, designing, and troubleshooting digital circuits and assemblies for Keysight products.
You will design electronic circuits boards using FPGAs, digitizers, DACs, memory, multiplexers, regulators, ASICs, and other electronic components. You will assist in instrument architecture decisions with other engineers. You will work in cooperation marketing and manufacturing teams. You will use simulation, schematic capture, and layout tools. You will document your designs including the design goals, the core concepts of the design, the theory of operation, the details of the design, and troubleshooting techniques. You will facilitate the transition of the design to full production and delivery.
Qualifications
Experience and Skills:
* Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. Degree or equivalent work experience in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with an emphasis on digital design.
* Demonstrated experience and expertise in digital design
* Demonstrated experience with hardware circuit board design of digital assemblies including FPGAs and DRAM
* Experience with circuit analysis and design, CAD schematic tools, circuit simulation tools, and design evaluation.
* Ability to evaluate alternative circuit approaches and develop the most appropriate choices into robust designs.
* Self-motivated, quick-learner and excellent analytical skills
* Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

Additional Desired Skills:
* Experience in programming and simulating Verilog or VHDL designs in FPGAs.
* Experience in firmware or software development
* Knowledge of communication systems, including architectural tradeoffs and partitioning impacts.
* Experience with Mentor or similar design tools including schematic capture and layout
* Experience with electronic test and measurement equipment
* Knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP)
Santa Rosa Pay Range: MIN 86,000.00 - MAX $143,000.00
The level of role will be based on applicable experience, education and skills; Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed above.
