Summary of Functions The Digital Marketing Strategist is responsible for the implementation of marketing strategies specific to email and other forms of digital marketing. In addition to maintaining the current volume of those communications, this individual will support the long-term vision and strategic plan for the digital marketing evolution. The main responsibilities of this position include email, web content and implementing campaigns that will drive engagement, conversion, and revenue. Essential Duties and Responsibilities •Ensure compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians-Internal Controls, and NQRC Policies and Procedures. •Ability to work cross-departmentally to gather assets, business requirements, marketing goals and objectives. •Stay current with best practices, strategies, legislation, and industry standards related to the online landscape. •Ensure a cohesive customer experience across all channels. •Cross-training in additional digital marketing areas (i.e., Paid social media) and support when necessary - including content creation. •May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings. •This job description does not list all of the duties of this position. Email Marketing •Email Campaign Strategy: o Develop and Implement email marketing strategies that align with the organizations marketing goals and target audience. o Define campaign objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and success metrics. •Audience Segmentation: o Segment the email subscriber list based on demographics, behavior, and engagement to deliver targeted and relevant content. o Create and maintain segmented lists for tailored messaging. •Content Creation and Optimization: o Collaborate with design and content teams to create compelling email content, including copy, graphics, and multimedia elements. o A/B test email content to optimize open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates. o Ensure emails are mobile-responsive and accessible. •Performance Analytics: o Monitor email campaign performance using analytical tools. o Analyze data to track and report on key metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement. o Make data-driven recommendations to enhance email marketing strategies. •Compliance and Deliverability: o Ensure email campaigns comply with relevant regulations, such as CAN-SPAM and GDPR. o Monitor Email Deliverability rates and take corrective actions to maintain a high sender reputation. •Testing and Optimization: o Continuously test and optimize email campaigns to improve engagement and conversion rates. o Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in email marketing. •Reporting and Documentation: o Generate regular reports on email marketing performance and share insights with the marketing team. o Maintain documentation of email campaign strategies, processes, and results. o Create calendars showing campaign sends to be shared with the Marketing team. Content Marketing •Support external content marketing initiatives based on the developed strategy. •Audit website and social media for content accuracy •Analyze results of delivered content form various campaigns. Supervisory Responsibilities •None Education •Requires a BA in Marketing, Communications, a new media field or equivalent years of experience. Experience •A minimum of two years' experience in email marketing. Skills •Proven experience in email marketing strategy and execution in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. •Proficiency in email marketing platforms, (e.g., SalesForce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Campaign Monitor, Marketo.) •Strong Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights. •Excellent written, communion, and copy writing skills. •Knowledge of email deliverability best practices and compliance regulations. •Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously. •Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. •Strong project management skills. •Ability to apply changes to existing email campaigns - both content changes and smaller design changes. •Understanding of digital channels and marketing techniques spanning multiple mediums •Adept at web content management. •Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment. •Strong knowledge of HTML & CSS email marketing, including email client requirements and spam filtering. Other Requirements •Must be able to obtain and maintain Tribal Work Permit. •Must be willing to sign a legally binding non-competition contract that prohibits activity that directly conflicts with the integrity of Kalispel Tribe Economic Authority's business interests and its affiliate organizations as specified within the contract, for the duration of time listed. Physical Demands •Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 15 pounds. •This position requires significant amounts of standing or walking. •This position requires significant local travel and occasional travel outside the local area. •This position requires the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. •This position requires substantial amounts of overtime. Work Environment This position is performed primarily in an office environment. Significant portions of the job require extended sedentary periods; constant work with computers, including extended periods of keyboarding; and repetitive motion of hands and wrists. Travel Requirements Individual must be able to travel on occasion.
