Work location will be at the Main Branch in Hillsborough. The work involves designing and leading community outreach efforts related to technology competency and digital literacy, including but not limited to individual assistance, group classes, and organized programs. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Outreach and Community Engagement Coordinator with some leeway to exercise independent judgment within the framework of applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in the performance of duties, both in terms of planning and accomplishing work and in making decisions regarding needs and requests of staff and the public. Supervision of staff is not required for this position. A higher degree does not substitute for work experience.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTPossession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of North Carolina for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Employment cannot commence until the employee has been cleared.Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes day, evening, and weekend hours. Must be able to travel.
