Flex C2H - USC or GC holder Remote ok MUST BE IN EST/Local preferred Market rate They cannot provide sponsorshipArchitect - Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)I sat on the phone this evening with TJ, the manager, and he gave me the list of technical questions below. These are so that we can do a deeper screening. He would like us to screen the candidates before sending. DO NOT send them these questions, he would like us to ask the candidates these questions and type their answers to include with the submittals. He said all questions can be answered quickly, so if this list takes more than 15 minutes for the candidates to answer, they probably do not know AEM manager enough and should be eliminated from consideration. These are simple basics that they should be able to answer directly. Requirements:
  • Adobe AEM implementation experience
  • Architect level but MUST BE Technical
  • Java development with Adobe experience AEM as a CMS
  • Works on solution approaches and design
  • AEM, target, analytics
  • They use Azure but this person will most likely have multiple cloud platform experience
  • No learning time, they need to hit the ground running
  • This will Kick off the Adobe migration - so they will be the person on the SHRSS team working with the vendor they have chosen for the implementation
  • Sitecore to adobe - almost everything will be migrated to adobe
  • This has VERY HIGH visibility, all the way to Jim Allen. There is no room or time for error - this person needs to be able to communicate in a professional manner to all levels of the business and all teams
  • Comm is key - Touches many different team, Even marketing team
  • Long term position
  • Technical with great business communication acumen - needs to be able to be both
  • Not a big talker, someone that is clear and concise
Interview questions:
  • What approach CDN - if they don't know don't know and cannot answer this then it's a waste of time (multiple CDNs - AWS, google, multiple - if don't know forget about them)
  • No custom code - how is your understanding?
  • Scenario - want to deploy a page altered content images similar to CNN what is your tool of choice? (theirs is adobe)
  • Is this a multidomain or single domain?
  • What is your way of doing a solutions approach?
  • How would you present a solution to a review board?
  • How would you present a solution to the team?
  • What is your presentation style?
  • What other CMS experience do you have besides Adobe?
  • Your Adobe AEM experience is at what level?
  • What did you do in Adobe AEM? ( some answers might include website, intersite, external sites)
  • Performance efficiency, how do you deal with it?
  • What number of requests? if they did website - how many ppl daily, monthly, hourly (they should be able to give you a number quickly) - Manager needs to know these metrics, need to know because this tells the complexity of what they were handling - Example 100 million requests a day
  • How many hits on their site? They might say hits but the technical term is requests (API, requests, requests for websites, SSO on Adobe)
  • What they use for CIAM?
  • what use as IDP? API requests?
  • Ever work with translations?
  • If they did what company they integrated with?
  • What backend databases have you used? Have you used nosql?
  • Ever worked on any loyalty platform - this criteria is not mandatory but a good to know - what is your interpretation?
  • Where do you store the images?
  • What cloud platform did you work on? Where did you deploy adobe AEM (on prem, azure, aws?)
  • Lastly, ask do you have any questions for the manager? - this will show their business side and if they can handle having that type of business thinking
