About this role: We are searching for a Dining Artist Server to join our team! The Dining Artist Server serves food and beverages during resident meal periods and attends to all service needs for the dining venues, resident neighborhoods, special events, and catering services. The Dining Artist Server will also perform other services such as phone orders, etc. Details of job duties:
- Take orders, serve and clear away meals in a professional, caring manner in our dining rooms.
- Learn residentnames and preferences, and pay attention to their needs.
- Know and understand the menu to be able to answer specific questions and make recommendations.
- Proactive in addressing customer needs. At Arbor Acres, residents rarely have to ask - Wait staff will notice and ask questions to make sure their level of service is at the highest.
- We are seeking someone with some experience with a POS system, who is able to remember POS system requirements as well as menu items to ensure a great customer experience.
Typical Physical Demands: Ability to perform essential taskswill be assessed by a physical assessment. Employee must be able to lift 40 lbs. of weight; push heavy carts, to reach and extend hands and arms in any direction; to seize, hold, grip, turn or otherwise work with hands, and to bend, stoop, kneel. Being able to hear, smell and see clearly and to sit/walk/stand for long periods is also required. Minimum Education:High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum Experience:Prefer at least one year in a similar position. License and/or Certification Required:Servsafe Certifications required within 6 months of accepting the job.
