DescriptionFoxdale Village, a life plan community guided by Quaker values, is a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in State College, PA. Foxdale Village was founded on the values of treating every person with dignity and respect and actively strives to create an engaging and welcoming environment for all. We are seeking part-time Dining Associate-Servers to join our team. This position typically works 4pm-8pm. Shift schedule includes some weekday and weekend shifts. This is a great position for anyone looking to supplement their income, students, or seeking a flexible, part-time schedule! Dining Associate-Server job duties include: Dinig Associate-Server job responsibilities include:
- Provide a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
- Assist residents, by serving and delivering meals or other requested menu items.
- Serving food table side, to healthcare rooms, and/or
- Register sales on Point-of-Sale System (POS) by scanning items, itemizing, and totaling customers' purchases, and charging customers (residents, staff, visitors, and family members) according to department policies.
- Portion food in quantities specified by nutritional standards set by Registered Dietitian and management.
- Serve special meals and catered events as needed.
- Bus tables, refill condiments, hydration station supplies and related.
- Set up and break down dining venues for service.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations according to department
- Sort flatware and glasses as needed.

Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or its equivalent is preferred; high school students age 16 years or older welcome to apply.
- ServeSafe certification is a plus.
- Relevant work experience in dining service or food service is preferred.
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing in English language with residents and other team members.
- Able to work holidays and weekends as part of a schedule rotation.
- Possess a reliable and dependable attendance to work profile.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
