**The Details:**

Positions start late May - June 2022 and extend through mid- to late-September (dates depend on Location).

* Start Date: **May - June, 2022**

* Employment Type: **Full Time, Seasonal** (ideally full season or early/late season)

* Schedule Varies: **32 to 45 hours per week**.

**Responsibilities**

**A day in the life of the Dining Room Attendant**

* Arrive ready and prepared to work, punch in according to your 7 Shifts schedule into the Kronos system designated for you to use.

* The Attendant may be assigned as Host, Food Runner, or Table Maintenance positions. As Host you will greet, organize, and communicate with guests assigning them a wait-time and providing a guest pager. The Host will control the flow of guests into the dining room to enhance their experience and assure the kitchen and service staff achieve the expected service standards. In the Table Maintenance role you will interact with guests to assess their needs, set cleared tables with the appropriate tableware and glasses, clear occupied tables of extra equipment and used plates, and respond immediately to any needs expressed by the section server and/or the guest. In the Food Runner role you will organize, garnish, tray and transport the menu items and beverages promptly to guests. This activity requires physical strength and endurance. In all these activities you will ensure guest satisfaction, superior teamwork with your co-workers, and be responsive to the direction of your floor manager.

* Maintain cleanliness of Dining Room/Lounge and service areas; and maintain organized and fully stocked server stations within the Dining Room/Lounge.

* Serve and re-fill water to guests; clear and set tables in accordance with all sanitation and service standards; assist servers as requested and transport dirty tableware from the Dining Room to the dish drop area.

* Aid in organizing, moving, connecting, and disconnecting draft beer kegs.

* Follow Company, NPS and departmental environmental practices, safety practices, and policies and procedures.

* Attendants must also assist in other departments or with other job duties as requested or necessary in line with the overall success of the outlet, location, and company.

**Qualifications**

**Essential Skills and Knowledge:**

Our Dining Room Attendants must have a working knowledge of all menus: Specials, features, food, and beverages, and of general guest information. This position must also have the ability to work within and consistently build the service team and will be asked to help other team members as necessary. Attendants must have the ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors. Certification in the TIPS alcohol awareness program is required; workshops will be provided if not currently certified.

**Physical Requirements:**

* Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.

* Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds. Frequent lifting and carrying of supplies, materials, and equipment throughout the day.

* Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.

* Working safely with required chemicals.
