Liberty Cares With Compassion Liberty Senior Living is currently seeking an experienced: DINING ROOM MANAGER Full Time, Rotating Job Summary: Assists with meal service to residents and guests. Works closely with department management to plan resident events. Maintain accurate meal documentation records per established procedures. Maintain staffing and scheduling system that reflects the delivery of quality customer service based on workload, skills, planned events, and safety considerations. Create and maintain a work environment that is conducive to high productivity and morale. Establish and maintain effective communication systems with all employees. Performs hands-on, verbal, and written training to elevate skill sets for areas of need. Train, coach, and assist staff to achieve high resident satisfaction rates with food, taste, temperature and service. Serve as final quality control/critique to ensure exceptional plating and presentation. Assist with meal preparation and service based on resident census, established training standards, regulations, policies # procedures and best practices. Oversee and assist service including, setting and clearing dining tables, assisting residents with menu selection, serving meals, and cleaning the dining room according to established procedures and schedules. Ensure proper set up of dining tables with utensils, chinaware and glassware. Refill sugar, salt, pepper and butter dishes for all tables. Clean and reset all tables after each meal service, sweep floors as necessary. Stock beverage machines; make coffee, juice, etc. Set up and replenish salad bar as necessary and with each meal service. Assist in the set-up and delivery of room service trays. Present a professional demeanor that communicates a corporate philosophy of service, goodwill, and genuine interest in each resident#s needs. Observe residents# ability to perform daily ADL#s and social skills, communicate potential difficulties or opportunities to the appropriate team member. Participate in all training offered by employer. Follows and abides by the HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) privacy guidelines as administered by Liberty Senior Living. Job Requirements: Requires a minimum of one year of experience working within a food service operation, preferably in a country club, hotel, or upscale senior living environment or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience. Completion of a state approved food safety course strongly preferred. Patience, tact, enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards the elderly is essential. Ability to work with a variety of staff and residents with differing values, attitudes, capabilities, and dispositions is essential.
