Job Summary: This position as a Dining Room Server, joins the Pyle Center team in providing excellent customer service to customers of the Conference Center.

With more than 135,000 square feet of meeting space on the shores of Lake Mendota, Pyle Center is more than your typical conference center - it's where the Wisconsin Idea comes to life. Everything from multimedia presentations and multi-day conferences to advanced distance education systems and active learning labs happen here. We offer unparalleled support from professional event planners to in-house catering, registration and technology specialists who ensure a smooth event.

Responsibilities: Prepares food and completes related tasks according to quality and safety standards to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve departmental food service goals.

* 30% Performs routine food preparation activities such as portioning, chopping food, and serving food to customers

* 5% Assists and guides student workers

* 30% Greets customers, answers questions, and provides basic information regarding food preparation and associated activities

* 15% Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas

* 15% Adheres to federal, state, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures

* 5% Performs routine and non-routine food preparation activities including cook to order and specialty foods.

Work Schedule: Variable days, nights and weekends.

Salary: **Minimum** $14.50 HOURLY
