This range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience and time in the role.Summary Responsible for overall strategic direction of the Business Services Department, including the development of all business loan and deposit products; credit oversight; and loan growth goals through business development. Promote credit union services to present and potential business members, by ensuring quality service for existing members and actively soliciting new business. Coordinate the acquisition of new business members and new business loan origination to meet Department Plan goals. Monitor and report on Business Loan Portfolio Credit performance.Role and Responsibilities Responsible for overall profitability of and growth of the department.Responsible for development, training and implementation for all new and existing products/services and related product management.Ensures that sound analysis and lending practices are followed.Interacts with all BCU employees and members to ensure quality services to the membership.Prepares information for and attends the Business Loan Committee meetings and makes presentations as required.Prepare Operational summaries for Senior Management as requested, including an Annual Strategic and Plan Update, and Credit Portfolio Review.Acts in compliance with the Member Business Lending Policy.Reads all pertinent material to keep informed on trends, laws, regulations, and innovations in field, makes recommendations accordingly.Cooperates with Examining committee, State and Federal examiners, and others for auditing purposes.Lead Department staff to ensure all training and service goals are met and individual career development plans are achieved.Research, recommend and implement automated processes/systems to improve loan and deposit process efficiency. Successfully plan and manage any projects required to achieve short and long term goals.Interviews present and potential members applying for business loans or refinance of existing loans. Responsible for Department loan origination goals through Business Development practices.Evaluates and completes financial analysis of credit information provided by the business borrower.Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in finance or related field, MBA preferred.Minimum 10 years' experience in commercial lending and other areas within a financial institution (credit union background helpful).Knowledge of laws and regulations governing business and consumer lending practices as well as collection practices.Knowledge of business financial analysis, and the ability to analyze information and make sound loan decisions.Ability to systematically gather, read, retrieve, and interpret data from reports and personnel in order to make effective decisions.
