Summary

Reports to the Vice President, Retail Management. The Dir, Enterprise Patient Flow and Transport is responsible for strategically planning, organizing, managing, and evaluating programs to ensure efficient and safe patient flow across the Health System. This includes oversight of the Transfer Center team, Teletracking services, bed placement services, and daily activities for helicopter and ambulance transport programs, ensuring alignment with Beacon Health System's mission, values, and service goals.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operations Management: Plans, organizes, and oversees all aspects of patient flow and transport services, including the Transfer Center, Teletracking, and bed placement services.

* Resource and Staff Management: Manages a team of transport and support staff, coordinating schedules, training, and evaluations to meet departmental goals. Ensures compliance with Beacon Health System policies and all relevant regulations.

* Policy Development: Develops and updates protocols, policies, and standards for patient flow and transport services, ensuring all staff adhere to established guidelines.

* Interdepartmental Coordination: Facilitates seamless interactions with internal departments and external institutions to optimize patient transport and flow, including strategic partnerships with external healthcare entities.

* Leadership and Training: Provides effective leadership, offering guidance, training, and acting as a resource for staff. Conducts regular meetings and ensures continuous professional development within the team.

* Financial Oversight: Prepares, monitors, and adjusts annual budgets for areas of responsibility, managing resources within established financial guidelines.

* Quality Assurance: Implements quality monitoring systems and evaluates key performance indicators to ensure high standards of service delivery.

* Compliance and Safety: Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including air medical standards, safety protocols, and CAMTS accreditation requirements.

* Service Recovery: Handles customer service concerns promptly, investigating and resolving issues with an emphasis on service recovery.

Organizational Responsibilities:

* Compliance and Participation: Participates in department meetings, completes required education and health requirements, and maintains licensure and certifications.

Education and Experience Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field (Master's preferred).

* Licensed Registered Nurse or Paramedic experience required.

* Minimum of two years in the aeromedical field and prior supervisory experience preferred.

Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

* Deep understanding of transport services operations within a hospital setting, with expertise in aeromedical and ground transport program management.

* Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

* Proficient in computer skills, including email, word processing, and spreadsheet management.
