Job Description:
The FX Products Emerging Markets (EM) role is to develop and support the continued growth of volumes and counterparties on CME FX Trading platforms as part of the global CME FX Business Line Management team. The role will be multi-faceted in so far as responsibilities will not be limited only to the EM FX BLM team but will encompass working broadly with, and within Customer Development and Sales, as well as other teams across the broader organization where required. Quantitative analysis to support feedback gained from customers/market to help develop future product development initiatives will be an important requisite of the role. Key success metrics include:
  • Growing Global EM Average Daily Volume, and increasing revenue
  • Emphasis on LatAm cash and futures currencies
  • Increasing number of customers trading EM pairs
  • Emphasis on LatAm cash and futures currencies
Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong business relationships with customers (banks and non-banks) eFX-Sales, Trading, and Client Services teams across the CME FX franchise (both cash and futures) with a strong emphasis on EM currency pairs.
  • Use quantitative analytics to review trading data and have a solid understanding of market microstructure, eFX pricing and risk management to provide insights to clients.
  • Develop awareness of all CME FX platform functionality across Spot, NDFs, Futures and Options with clients to enhance their exposure across the whole CME FX product suite.
  • Work closely with Regional Sales teams to understand and service client requirements (in terms of currency pair coverage, liquidity, and spreads).
  • Work closely with internal Client Integration teams, Onboarding team and Customer Support team on new client onboarding, connectivity, issue resolution and everyday operational management of trading activity.
  • Contribute to Product strategy, gather and/or deliver relevant business information and participate in growth plans.
  • Work with different business line functional groups as required.

  • Use the google suite of business products (eg. google sheets, google meet, google docs, google slides, etc) to provide presentations that help influence internal and external decision makers.
  • The ability to adapt and contribute to the broader FX business including product, sales, technology, risk management groups and compliance.
Knowledge & Experience:
  • Ideally a minimum of 5 years' experience in the FX Market with exposure to e-Trading for EM FX Cash (Spot and NDFs) and Futures
  • Experience in emerging markets especially LatAm currencies will be well regarded.
  • Good awareness of FX Market Structure- participants, competitive dynamics, impacts of regulatory change and other dynamics.
  • Educated to degree level
