Come build your career with BAE Systems.BAE Systems is looking for a Technical Director for our Command, Control, Communications, Computing, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems - Adaptive Communications and Sensing (AC&S) Product Line. C4ISR is a dynamic and diverse Business Area with technologies spanning advanced sensing, communications, identification, ISR analytics, mission autonomy, and space electronics and payloads. AC&S is a product line within C4ISR that focuses on delivering full spectrum Radio Frequency (RF) communications, sensing, and specialized navigation solutions that provide our customers with resilient connectivity and spectrum awareness. Our AC&S team is delivering today's systems while driving the future of edge networking and converged multi-function RF systems to give our customers the edge they need.The AC&S Technical Director is responsible for the Product Line technology strategy. The technology strategy integrates technology roadmaps, investment plans, collaboration opportunities, business capacity, and customer and competitor dynamics to enable our business objectives. This position reports to the C4ISR Technical Director and is a key member of the AC&S product line leadership team. The AC&S Technical Director works with key members of the Product Line Engineering staff, Business Development, and Strategy teams to support new business growth and develop portfolio-level technical strategies across the business.This position can be located in Dallas, TX; Ft Wayne, IN; Hudson, NH; Largo, FL; Wayne, NJ or other BAE Systems sites in the United States.Specific responsibilities include:Engaging inside and outside the business to understand current and future AC&S missions, and relevant technology trends to predict future breakthroughs, innovation, and market strategies to enable business growth.Collaborating across the business and externally to leverage technology for growth and performance.Driving the development and execution of technology roadmaps to meet business objectives.Maximizing product leverage to accelerate development and production.Ensuring a robust pipeline of next generation technical leaders through mentoring, coaching, and managed development assignments.Managing the Product Line Internal Research and Development (IRAD) portfolio for targeted technology development to enable growth and performance.Capturing relevant Intellectual Property (IP) for the business and manage the AC&S IP portfolio.Driving our technology solutions organization, FAST Labs, to capture priorities that meet AC&S technology needs.Engage with customers to understand their emerging connectivity, sensing, and navigation mission needs and tradeoff technology solutions to meet them.Provide technical leadership and contribute to key capture campaigns and R&D programs.Ability to support frequent travel to customer facilities, BAE Systems facilities both domestic and international.Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.Job Title: Dir II- TechnicalPostal Code: 03051-5228Job Family: Technical DevelopmentTravel Percentage: 25%Clearance Level - Must be able to obtain for position: Top Secret/SCIShift: 1st ShiftRegular or Temporary: RegularTypical Education and Experience: Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experienceRequired Skills and EducationBachelor Degree and 12+ years related Experience (Advanced Degree Preferred) or equivalentMinimum 10 years of technical leadership experience and mission/domain knowledge of emerging AC&S systems, markets, and capabilities relevant to the business.Active Top Secret Security Clearance and eligible for TS/SCIExperience collaborating with customers to develop technology solutions to address their missionsDemonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across business boundaries to maximize enterprise synergy, leverage, and growthDemonstrated ability to develop and communicate a technical vision to customers, business leadership, and team-membersExperience with all aspects of the new business capture processPreferred Skills and EducationAdvanced Technical DegreeRecognized mission/technical expert in the domains pertinent to AC&SExperience in Intellectual Property ManagementActive Top Secret / SCI ClearanceAbout BAE Systems Electronic SystemsBAE Systems, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems plc, an international defense, aerospace and security company which delivers a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services.
