_The ServiceNow Platform Product Owner works with key project stakeholders to_ _capture Technical_ _business and user requirements. The analyst also works with the Platform Support Team to ensure requirements are understood, developed, tested, and delivered to specification. The ServiceNow Platform Product Owner possesses sound foundational knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and applications, a detailed understanding of the business users represented, and the ability to describe business and user requirements in a manner that enables system administrators, application developers, and quality assurance engineers to understand, estimate the relative effort, and deliver business functionality._
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Responsibilities for the ServiceNow Platform Product Owner can vary, but should include:
+ Manage your product backlog and author user stories.
+ Manage prioritization and tactical execution of assigned features.
+ Attend and participate in agile ceremonies (standup, sprint review, retrospective, etc.).
+ Ensure product quality, security, functionality, usability, and performance requirements are incorporated into the development lifecycle.
+ Demonstrate iterations to customers (pre-release) and gather feedback.
+ Educate users on the new features by creating and/or contributing to release notes and feature overviews.
+ Represents project stakeholders throughout planning, development, and release processes.
+ Works with Platform Support Team to develop release estimates.
+ Supports Platform Support Team in understanding business and test requirements.
+ Translates technical complexities to project stakeholders, ensuring understanding of design decisions.
+ Single point of contact with knowledge of every aspect of Platform Support Team work.
+ Provides direction and oversight to Platform Support Team resources.
+ Establishes timelines and completes work on schedule.
+ Takes ownership of platform support issues and works to resolution.
**REQUIRED SKILLS:**
+ Strong technical foundation and knowledge of the ServiceNow platform including but not limited to CMDB, CSM, ITOM, ITSM, and PPM.
+ Proficient analysis skill and capability to identify downstream implications.
+ Excellent ability to align business process and requirements with a technical implementation.
+ Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
+ The ability to develop and forge strong relationships and build consensus among competing stakeholders.
+ Highly proficient in understanding of Agile principles and Scrum methodology.
+ Strong customer focus, ownership, bias for action and the ability to dive deep.
**EXPERIENCE:**
+ 2+ years overall experience with ServiceNow.
+ 3+ years overall experience in a Product Owner role.
+ Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams with minimal supervision.
+ Proven ability to innovate and execute on business objectives.
+ Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across technology and the business teams.
**EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / TRAINING:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related (equivalent experience considered)
