With 24-hour on-site supervision, individual bedrooms, nursing services, and personal support, we create a nurturing environment that promotes safety and well-being.

What matters mostTo thrive as a Full Time Direct Care Associate II at the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, several essential skills and qualifications are necessary. A minimum of one year of direct care experience working with adults living with an Intellectual and Developmental Disability or mental illness is vital, as it equips you with the knowledge and empathy to provide quality support. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) designation is a plus, adding to your expertise in healthcare provision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, enabling you to build trust and rapport with residents effectively. Additionally, a valid Driver's License is required, as transportation may be necessary for community integration activities.
Adaptability in utilizing software and tools for care documentation and monitoring is also beneficial, ensuring seamless coordination of services and fostering a safe and supportive environment for all individuals served.
