This position provides support to clients by keeping clients informed in understanding and following facility processes, and promotes a safe environment through trauma-informed care.Position Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, client-centered customer service.
- Utilize trauma-informed care and de-escalation principles with clients in a busy, high-volume environment.
- Assist with meal service distribution and laundry services.
- Assist clients in understanding the processes and following the guidelines of the Kearney Center.
- Contribute to the care, saftey, and cleanliness of the facility.
- Perform routine facility walk-abouts to be aware of activities throughout the building, ensuring client saftey and comfort.
- Utilize a collaborative process with team members and community partners to provide service linkages and support systems to effectively serve clients.
- Ensure timely and thorough documentation of incident reports and information flow between shift changes.
- Honor and maintain strict confidentiality in all areas: written, spoken and observed communication.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Kearney Center and community resources for which people experiencing homelessness qualify and connect clients with these services.
- Demonstrate understanding of the needs of people experiencing homelessness.
- Participate in monthly team meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
RequirementsEducation and Experience:
- At least 1 year experience with crises intervention, medical assistance, teacher assistants, and/or homelessness services preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment: Frequent standing and walking through indoor environment. Ability to utilize general office equipment. This position requires the working ability to carry 50lbs.
