- Assumes responsibility and accountability for up to 6 patients.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living (ADL's).
- Provides personal care assistance to patients as needed.
- Ensures that patients receive appropriate nutrition, including shopping for groceries, preparing meals, and, at times, assisting with feeding.
- Maintaining a clean and sanitized environment, which may involve changing soiled sheets, cleaning up spills, setting up equipment, and reducing the spread of germs and infection in the patient's living area.
- Elicits important information concerning the patient's progress.
- Monitors patients' physical and emotional well-being and report unusual behavior or physical ailments to staff.
- Observes and influences patients' behavior in a positive manner.
- Pursues proper chain of command to attain a satisfactory solution.

- 1 year experience in mental health field desired
- Current CPR Certification
- Must present a professional demeanor
- Must have good interpersonal skills
- Must maintain a calm and reasonable attitude during crisis and conflict
- Must demonstrate initiative and good judgment
- Must respond appropriately to routine and emergency situations
- Must be able to set and revise priorities based on changes in the situation
- Furthers his/her education by attending staff meetings, continuing education classes and reading of current professional material
- Computer literacy in electronic medical records, Microsoft Office, and email required.
- Obtain a health clearance form from a medical provider.
- Obtain a negative tuberculosis screening.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Criminal Record Clearance required.
Salary Description $17 - $18 per hour
