Compensation: $25 - $29 per hourJob Title: Building Maintenance Foreman (Immediate Need) Salary: $50,000 depending on experience Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Full Time Start Date: ASAPWe are seeking a full-time Building Maintenance Foreman to join our team in Windham, Maine. This role is critical for ensuring that our facilities are maintained and repaired to high standards. The position involves a variety of building maintenance duties and offers the opportunity for leadership. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity!Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose building or system problems and initiate corrective action
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment
- Inspect equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning
- Recommend parts and supplies to the Director of Facilities & Property Services
- Assist with budget preparation and planning for repairs
- Interpret job orders, specifications, and drawings
- Enforce occupational health and safety codes and standards
- Assist with custodial, grounds functions, and special event setups as needed
- Respond to building alarms when required
- Fill in for the Director of Facilities & Property Services when necessary
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities & Property Services
Technology Use and Communication Expectations:
- Regularly use School Dude Maintenance Direct, Facilities Use, and PM Direct to manage work orders and monitor equipment
- Access and respond to alarms through the Building Automation System
- Communicate via email, phone, text, radio, and written documents
- Proficient in Excel and Word
Core Skills Required:
- HVAC systems
- Boiler and pressure vessel safety
- Electrical safety and distribution
- Wastewater treatment plant operations
- Roof maintenance
- Basic plumbing, maintenance, and woodworking
- Project management
- Maintenance on doors, locks, and associated hardware
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid State of Maine Driver's License required
- At least 5 years of experience in building maintenance
- Preferred: Additional education or work experience in building maintenance or trades
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and communicate effectively
- Skilled in diagnosing problems and implementing permanent solutions
