Job Summary:The Direct Support Professional Assistant Administrator will directly supervise employees and their job coaches on a daily basis. This position will have the responsibility for decision making in the areas involving team members requiring specialized support at their work stations, staff scheduling, team member performance appraisals, time card approval, compliance with company policies and assisting Direct Support Professional Administrator with any and all areas affecting the performance of these employees in the workplace and/or outside of the workplace as needed.

- Staffs all open positions within area of responsibility at the store with quality and productive employees and in consultation with the Direct Support Professional Administrator and the Store Manager.
- Recommends hiring of new employees and/or work schedule changes , and/or termination of employees from the Goodwill payroll.
- Provides every employee with clear job responsibilities and expectations. Ensures all new employees are oriented and trained on all required work processes, procedures and expected standards of performance.
- Provide job coaches assigned to work with employees the information they need in order to properly train, support and increase employee productivity, efficiency and accuracy in completing job tasks.
- Evaluates the efficiency and productivity of assigned team members by establishing performance standards and objectives and conducts regular performance appraisals of the employees.
- Assists team members and their job coaches in goal setting and skills development. Provides feedback on performance and attendance, addresses concerns, and administers performance discussions as needed. Provides work leadership on assigned shifts including directions for outside job coaches.
- Monitors production of each employee on a daily basis and provides production counts to designated staff.
- Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of team members. Schedules employees with a focus on controlling payroll costs and adequate coverage and customer service.
- Provides a clean, fun, and safe environment for employees and customers. Provides maximum level of customer service to ensure employees can perform at their maximum capacity.
- Maintain work area to keep it safe, free from safety hazard, and clean for employees to perform their work duties.
- Manages store's loss control by employees and reporting suspicious activity to Asset Management/Direct Support Professional Administrator/Store Manager. Ensures that items are not given away without authorization.
- Maintains effective communication with support staff, Direct Support Professional Administrator, and/or Store Manager.
- Ensures that the work area opens on time and is properly staffed and operational during designated hours of operation.
- Monitors the employees coming to or leaving the work floor and ensuring that they are kept safe and have access to morning, lunch and afternoon breaks.
- May complete and approve time card for employees in the absence of the Direct Support Professional Administrator.
- Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum QualificationsRequired SkillsEducation- High School Diploma or GED
Experience- One year of direct support or employee supervision experience is required.
Knowledge and Skills- Able to effectively communicate with employees supervised, job coaches and other store employees.
- Must be able to read.
- Must be able to do basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Must be able to push/pull loads weighing over 50 pounds continuously.
- Must be able to work under direct supervision and independently.
- Must have reliable transportation to perform job duties.
Certifications and Licenses- Valid driver's license required.
- CPR Certification
Preferred Education / Experience / Knowledge & Skills / Certifications & License- Experience in production, direct support services with persons with disabilities, and basic computer skills.
