Job Description: The Direct Support Professional (DSP) will provide essential support to individuals with mental health conditions, helping them achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life. The DSP will work closely with individuals to promote independence, community integration, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
* Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events.
* Implement individualized care plans and behavior support plans.
* Monitor and document individuals' progress and report any changes to the supervisory team.
* Foster a safe and supportive environment for individuals.
* Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and other outings as needed.
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Previous experience working with individuals with mental health disabilities preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* Ability to pass background checks and obtain necessary clearances.
