JOB TITLE: Direct Support ProfessionalCLASSIFICATION: Per Diem/Relief, Non-ExemptPROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Residential, OPWDD IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Residential ManagerPOSITION SUMMARY: As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you get to enhance quality of life for people with developmental disabilities by assisting, instructing, and supporting individuals living in our residences to be as independent as possible. Promote the health, safety and well-being of the individuals while building positive, meaningful relationships. Advocate for individuals in our residences to communicate their wants/needs, and integrate them into the community for recreation. Perform various tasks to promote a well-rounded environment by doing light housekeeping, helping individuals plan nutritious meals, and administering medications as needed.
