Job Description:
Provides leadership in conjunction with the House Manager in the overall management of living unit. This model reflects the mentoring, coaching and support of Direct Support Professional. The supervisor facilitates in the delivery of the program to assist individuals in acquiring the skills and self-esteem needed to establish and achieve personal goals.To Qualify for $25 hour - MUST BE FULLY TRAINED IN TCI. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO ATTEND AND SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE ALL REQUIRED TRAININGS.Vanderheyden is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for Per Diem weekend shifts in our Community Services Program working with Adults and Youth. The Weekend rate of $25/hr. will be paid out for any shift from Friday at 11:00 am to Monday at 9:00 am. Qualified candidates for this role will be required to work at least one Saturday or Sunday per week, Must already have and maintain valid SCIP certification, and remain up to date with required agency training including Fit for Duty physicals and PPD. Only those with proof of SCIP certification will be considered.The DSP is responsible for maintaining an environment of care that is safe & therapeutic, providing direct care to individuals per agency policy, implementing appropriate supervision according to daily schedules, dispensing medication per agency policy, and safely transporting individuals as assigned per level of supervision required.Required Education, Knowledge And Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred
  • Valid NYS driver's license with a clean MVR.
  • Valid SCIP Certification.
  • Valid CPR, First Aid and AED certification.
  • Other required trainings
