Description

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the District Manager - NY Metro, the Direct VM Sales Rep is someone who hunts for new business via cold-stops, cold calling, and networking. Performs a variety of sales-related duties and provides sales support in accordance with company policies and procedures. This position will be selling into vertical commercial markets that include: multi-family housing, hospitality, schools / universities, athletics, country clubs and corporate fitness facilities.

Responsibilities:

Sales Related:

* Travell within your designated territory hunting for new business opportunities

* Manage assigned vertical market channels within designated territory

* Outbound sales calls and visits to prospects for new direct business

* Conduct Matrix Fitness showcase tours for existing and potential customers

* Meet monthly goal for number of prospective customer site visits and new opportunities volume

* Manage incoming sales orders in conjunction with our inside sales team

* Regularly provide management with accurate reports

* Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals within territory

* Work with other sales representatives within the territory

* Follow all related procedures & policies

* Attend periodic industry trade shows which usually require travel

Marginal Job Functions:

* Other projects as assigned

Requirements

Education:

* Minimum high school diploma or equivalent plus additional training or education such as an associates degree with combination of experience required

* Bachelor's degree preferred in relevant field preferred

Experience:

* Must have at least one year of outside sales experience with a proven track record in new business development

* Must have a proven track record of meeting sales quotas

* Sales forecasting and reporting capability required

* Must have sales success while working remotely / independently / autonomously

Other Preferred Requirements:

* Relationships within the multi-family / developer / property management field preferred

* Relationships within schools / universities preferred

* Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer required

* Software experience with CRM (SFDC), Auto Sketch or similar preferred

* Drivers license required with acceptable motor vehicle record for extensive domestic travel for customer site visits, trade shows, sales meetings, etc.
