The Directional Drill Helper is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of horizontal directional drilling equipment. The operator will work closely with other crew members to ensure that drilling projects are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Help operate horizontal directional drilling equipment to install underground water lines, sewer lines, and power lines

* Assist with performing site surveys to determine the best drilling approach

* Aid in the set up and calibration of equipment before drilling operations

* Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act

* Track repairs and work completed in trade software, Service Titan

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in drilling or construction are a plus.

* 2 years' experience as a Directional Drill Helper. Must know how to use DGI or Subsite equipment.

* Must know how to operate either Ditch Witch or Vermeer equipment.

* Detail-oriented and skilled at multitasking

* An outstanding work ethic with excellent customer service and communication skills

* Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record

* Professionalism, you take pride in your work and your appearance

* Ability to handle heavy equipment and work outdoors.

* Willing to submit to and pass pre-employment background check and drug test (MJ OK)

* Experience running excavation equipment is a plus.

* Have a CDL is a plus but not required.
