****Glass Roots Construction (GRC) is a new team, founded by a team of well funded career telecom and construction professionals. We look to leverage the latest technologies, best in industry equipment, and up-to-date construction and safety practices to build a first-class fiber optic utility construction firm in multiple markets throughout the US. We began our first project in early 2023 in CA and are now preparing to begin our 2nd in Colorado. We are in need of skilled Directional Drill Operators who are local to the Evans area or willing to relocate! This position will report to the Market Manager and represents an opportunity to join an awesome team on the ground floor, learn a lot, and have a ton of fun as GRC grows!

Ability to commute or relocate:

  • Denver CO

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Position consists of general heavy equipment operation for construction
  • Drilling equipment operators can operate a variety of equipment, used in installation/repair/maintenance activities associated with underground construction or utilities, in a safe and effective manner
  • Safely operates drill equipment on the job site which may include but is not limited to the following: Directional Drill, Backhoe/Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer
  • Restores and/or landscapes disturbed areas of the job site
  • Will develop and maintain a boring schedule
  • Responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
  • Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on the truck
  • Will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis - JSA prior to starting construction
  • Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic
  • May be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed

Experience:

  • Directional Drill Operating: 1 year (Required)
  • Falcon F5 experience preferred

License/Certification:

  • CDL A (REQUIRED)
