In addition, the Director will be responsible for delivering an extraordinary customer experience and infusing our strategic focus and messaging into all elements of customer engagement. This position reports to the Senior Director of Business Development for the Weapon Systems division.Responsibilities include leading a team to:Provide thought leadership in the development and synthesis of a cohesive and executable Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) Market Segment strategyLead the new business development activity to define new business opportunitiesDevelop, implement, and manage the new business capture processProvide proposal management support to improve win rate for competitive captureResponsible for the development of customer engagement and growth strategiesPerform economic analyses on new or improved product opportunitiesCreate and deliver an extraordinary customer experience with follow-upResponsible for the accuracy and consistency of the Customer Relationships Management (CRM) tools (SalesForce)Responsible for the fiscal management of the department's budgetBasic Qualifications:Bachelors degree in business or related discipline with a minimum of 15 years of related experience or masters degree in business or related discipline with a minimum of 13 years of related experience10 years of Aerospace and/or Defense industry experienceA minimum of 5 years of management experience in Business Development Management, Program Management, Engineering Management, or Functional ManagementPossess an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearanceMust be able to travel as needed (up to 40% of the time)Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in technical/business field15 years of industry experience in business development, capture leadership and/or program managementDemonstrated multi-disciplinary global business development, strategy development and capture experienceDemonstrated people leadership skillsProven ability to provide independent critical assessmentsProven highly effective executive communication, presentation, and influencing skillsPrevious Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilityStrong customer domain knowledge and a proven track record of sustained business growthSalary Range: $173,300 - $259,900Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
