- Leads an Admissions group by communicating with and developing staff members, and building consensus for programs and goals that support a business, function or geographic area.
- Develops and articulates a short-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility.
- Directs all admissions and ensures timely placement of patient transfers.
- Ensures front end registration and review for clinical appropriateness via Patient Review Instrument (PRI) and other hospital documentation; verifies information is accurate for reimbursement.
- Builds and maintains productive inter/intra departmental and vendor work relationships to optimize operations.
- Collaborates with various departments to resolve admission errors and improve processes.
- Interfaces with clinical liaisons and discharge planners for appropriate patient/resident placement at CECR.
- Ensures efficient communication of transfer of information from hospitals and community agencies to appropriate CECR staff and acts as liaison with CECR clinical departments to assess appropriateness of admission.
- Develops and monitors strategic operating goals, objectives and budget; reports operational performance, justification and/or corrective action.
- Selects, develops, manages and evaluates direct reports; oversees the selection, development, management and evaluation of indirect reports.
- Oversees compliance with government and agency regulations.

Job Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required.
- REGISTERED NURSE PREFERRED
- HOSPICE EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
