About the role: This position is responsible for the development of new and existing business for all lines of business within the Cyber & Professional Lines Group. Primary duties include identifying business opportunities, identifying, building and maintaining successful relationships with prospects and existing clients, collaborating with VP, Business Development and/or executives on business strategy to determine objectives, evaluating current business performance and maximizing reach and potential.
Key Responsibilities - Relying on extensive knowledge and advanced leadership skills, this role is accountable for the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing broker/agent relationships, meeting key performance indicators and identifying, as well as developing new business by marketing within assigned territory.
- Foster additional business opportunities through business travel, virtual meetings, conferences and industry events.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities and remains current and familiar on all company products.
- Help build long-term relationships between TMHCC underwriters and broker partners through setting up virtual and in person meeting and introductions.
- Conduct broker and agent training using webinars and other web conferencing utilities.
- Tracks, reports and maintains database of current and prospective contacts, marketing campaigns, opportunities and outreach activities in Salesforce or other CRM tools.
- Work with the marketing team to develop, adapt and implement specific marketing strategies and materials for new, warm or cold prospects. Also creates campaigns based on market research/intel.
- Ensure sound working relationships with clients and other company departments by acting as the point of contact
Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements - 4 years bachelor's degree preferred
- 10 years of relevant and progressive insurance industry business development. Wholesale and/or retail existing book of business preferred.
